This packaging design is a student welcome package that I’d want to receive after getting into Notre Dame. This university is well known when growing up in a large Irish Catholic family. Notre Dame is the school that my grandfather wanted all of his children to go to after completing a Catholic High School. I used my family’s love of the university as inspiration and I approached this design by looking into other college welcome packages, most importantly the important architecture around the campus. Once I did research I knew I wanted to use my illustration skills to illustrate the Notre Dame Cathedral. I continued to use illustrations on the packaging as well as tickets and any other content included in the box. I wanted my packaging to be completely different than any others, so I knew illustration would be able to tie all of the contents together and  stand out against other college welcome packets. All of the elements come together to create a clean, unique, and welcoming approach.
